RAR archives can be split into multiple pieces, or volumes, when the original archive is too large. Each of these pieces can be transferred individually, and then are reassembled by the compression program. RAR archives with multiple volumes typically have the extensions "file.part1.rar," "file.part2.rar," etc. or "file.rar," "file.r01," "file.r02," etc.
Instructions:
- Move all of the files in your multi-RAR archive collection into the same directory. All of the RAR files will need to be together in one folder for the unpacking process to complete successfully.
- Highlight all of the RAR files in the directory. Right-click on any one of the RAR files in the multi-RAR collection.
- Click "Extract Here." This will unpack all of the RAR files in the collection, leaving the contents extracted into the same directory.
